Good Music to Learn West Coast Swing

My girlfriend, JesAnn Nail, and I had a chance to teach some West Coast Swing workshops in Spain over the Summer and we had a blast. However, because WCS is so new in Spain it’s taking a lot of work to get the dance going and make it accessible for more people.

As a result, a friend from Valencia / Madrid asked me for good music to learn West Coast Swing so that he could use it to teach some beginners. So I’ve put together a WCS playlist that has a bunch of slower songs. (Most under 100 BPM)

I’ve purposely included blues, contemporary, acoustic, and other popular styles of West Coast Swing music to give a variety of songs and grooves for leaning the dance. (Many of them are not from 2013)

Feel free to comment or add to this list…

Slower West Coast Swing Dance Songs:

Sade By Your Side
